Privacy Policy — Quick Doc: PDF Tools
Canonical URL: https://quick.pdfquickdocpdf.com/privacy.html
This Privacy Policy describes how Quick Doc: PDF Tools
(“the App”, package com.antonio.tsvetanov.quickdoc.pdfreader) handles information
when you use the Android application distributed on Google Play.
1. Summary
- No account or sign-in is required.
- Documents you open or import are stored in the App’s library on your device.
- We did not find a first-party cloud document sync service in this project.
- Optional remembered PDF passwords are encrypted on the device and can be cleared in the App.
- Temporary caches (for example unlock copies or Office conversion caches) can be cleared in Privacy center.
- The App declares the INTERNET permission. Do not read this policy as a promise that the App never uses the network.
2. Information processed on your device
Depending on how you use the App, the following may be processed locally:
- Documents and media you select (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, camera captures) to open, convert, edit, or share.
- Library metadata such as file name, size, dates, reading progress, favorites/bookmarks, folders, and tags.
- Optional PDF passwords you choose to remember (encrypted on device).
- Temporary files created while unlocking PDFs or converting Office documents.
- App preferences such as language and appearance.
3. Permissions
- Camera — used for Scan to PDF when you choose that feature.
- Storage / MediaStore access — used to find and import documents on the device.
- INTERNET — declared in the App. The project includes ML Kit text recognition, which may download models. This policy does not claim that the App never connects to the network.
You can deny or revoke permissions in Android settings; some features will then be unavailable.
4. Accounts, ads, analytics
- Accounts: the App does not provide a user account system.
- Ads: the project’s ad unit configuration is empty. This policy does not claim the App will remain without ads forever; confirm the shipping build matches this project.
- Analytics / crash reporting: dedicated Analytics or Crashlytics SDKs were not found in this project at the time of writing. If a shipping build adds such SDKs, this policy should be updated before release.
5. Sharing
When you use Share, Print, or open a file in another app, content is transferred to the destination you choose (for example the system share sheet). We do not sell your personal information.
Google Play and the Android platform may collect standard install or diagnostics data under Google’s policies. That processing is controlled by Google, not by a first-party document backend in this App.
6. Children
The App is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account system (the App has none).
7. Retention and control
- Library files remain until you delete them or uninstall the App (subject to Android storage behavior).
- Use Privacy center actions to clear remembered passwords and temporary caches.
- Uninstalling removes App-private storage associated with the package.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when a material update is published at the Canonical URL.
